Sprinkle of rain at dinner time.

Ordered 4 more sand cherries. I want a hedge of them behind the crabapple tree and most of the ones I planted previously are doing well. About 4 didn't make it, so this will fill in the gap. Last year, it seemed as though every nursery catalog had them and they were available locally at Tractor Supply. This year, I could only find them in the Burgess catalog.

Harvested:

• lettuce
• kale
• broccoli

Dan scythed the buck pasture and almost all the rest of the front pasture. It's still in the field, drying for hay.

Eating:

• strawberries on our milk kefir and cereal!
• big salads with the works
