We needed the rain!
I've been busy pulling the remnants of the summer garden and getting ready to put some of the beds to rest for the winter.
Fall garden is doing fair; I lost some cabbage transplants to dryness, even though we watered from the rainwater tanks. Too many warm days in between.
Beginning to pull things from the freezer to process and can. I started with the tomatoes. Next up will be the elderberries, then the remnants of fruit for jelly.
Sadly my apples haven't kept as well as I hoped. I made more applesauce and a pie to freeze. I may have to do a couple more soon.
Still getting okra, lettuce, and a few tomatoes.
