Temp:
~ low 72° F
~ high 88° F
Humid. Mostly sunny early with some clouds in the afternoon.
Sent soil sample from production garden for soil testing.
Flowering: okra
Harvested:
~ blueberries - 1 pint
~ green beans - 7.9 oz (16 days after blooming)
~ straightneck summer squash - 3 count, 13.6 oz
Problems:
~ Powdery mildew - is all over the pumpkins and a touch on one cucumber vine. Sprayed all with copper solution and picked & discarded all infected leaves. This was rather drastic for the pumpkins, leaving them only new growth. However, if I'm going to lose the plants anyway, I might as well try drastic measures. Noted a few tiny pumpkins.
~ squash bug eggs - on 2 pumpkin leaves. Removed & discarded these.
Noted:
That the blueberries are larger and plumper since the rain we had this week
