- Low: 65° F
- High: 78° F
Harvested:
- blueberries
Preserved:
- garlic, dehydrated for garlic powder
The blueberries have been late to ripen this year, I guess because there's been so little sun. Got a gallon today.
I took the last of last year's garlic and experimented making garlic powder. Very easy, just slice and oven dry on low, then run through the herb (coffee) mill to powder. Seems like it would be a good activity for the wood cookstove in winter: plant garlic in the fall, sort and keep back enough fresh to last until spring harvest, and powder the rest.
