Clear and cold. Back porch thermometer registered last night's low as 29. "Official" (via desktop weather gadget) is 23. I know when I had a thermometer by the goat shed, it always registered different temperatures than the one near the house. High today was 51.
Toward food independence, I canned 7 quarts of Thanksgiving turkey and sausage gumbo. None of the ingredients were homegrown, but it is a good use of the turkey carcass and a great addition to our food storage.
