Warm and muggy most of the day. Thundering and pouring rain now.

Rainfall: 2" Most of it fell between 7 and 10 pm.

Mulched the first row of comfrey plants.

Cut the patch of wheat and oats in the front. It was beginning to seed but still in leaf. I'll dry it and add it to the hay pile. Noted volunteer buckwheat coming up underneath.

Everything seems to be coming up in the garden. I still want to plant watermelon and black turtle beans. Maybe I'll just have to do it in the mud.
